Courses Overview

All our current courses will finish in July. Information about new courses for September will be put on the website as soon as it is available.

Our Open Day will be on Tuesday, September 12th from 10am-3pm. You will be able to meet teachers and staff, see which course is right for you, and find out how to enrol.

If you would like to receive email updates on our upcoming courses, please go to our Homepage, enter your email address and click on the “Subscribe” button.

During the day the Centre offers a wide variety of courses and activities that help people build their skills and confidence, engage more fully in their community, and increase their chances of paid work. Courses generally run for one term, three times a year, but we also run shorter courses. We work in partnership with Trafford College Community Learning, the Workers’ Educational Association, Talk English, and independent tutors and trainers.

As well as the courses shown on the timetable, we sometimes (depending on demand) run courses in First Aid and Food Safety.

Let us know if you have a suggestion for a new course – if enough people are interested we may be able to provide it.

How much will it cost?

Most of our education courses are free to those who are on means tested benefits. If you do have to pay and are concerned about costs, then please speak to the office staff. Some of the art/craft courses have a small charge to cover material costs. Ladies’ Keep Fit costs only £2.00 for an excellent hour of exercise!
