Sewing Skills for Employability
Mondays 1-3pm from 23rd September – 25th November 2019
Course fee: £73.50, or free to learners on means tested benefits or low income
Join this friendly class held within the community, led by an expert tutor. This course will teach you how to correctly take bodice measurements, draft basic patterns and use a sewing machine to construct a garment. This is a very hands on practical course, encouraging you to take notes, increase numeracy skills and working independently.
This course is aimed at learners who already have experience of pattern cutting and using a sewing machine. If you’re not sure if it is suitable for you, come and find out more at our Open Day.
This course will lead on to a
City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Fashion (Sewing Machine Skills)
Mondays 1-3pm from 6th January-9th March 2020
Course Fee to be confirmed (free to learners on means tested benefits or low income)
This will be followed by and unaccredited Level 2 course in March 2020.
