The World in Old Trafford Family History

Old Trafford has a long history of migration – from Irish labourers in the 1880s and wartime migrants from Europe, through the Windrush generation, to more recent South Asian migration.

Whether your family came to Old Trafford from Karachi or St Kitts, Kent or Collyhurst – if you would like to find out more about their history, join our “The World in Old Trafford” family history sessions, funded by Trafford Council’s Inclusive Neighbourhoods grant.

You can get regular guidance through the process of tracing your family history, and access genealogy websites on our computers. Find out how to start your research, and see what help is available to you locally, nationally and internationally.

Sessions will be every other Wednesday evening from 6.30-8pm. The next session is on October 5th 2022.

These are free sessions, but booking is essential. You can complete the form below if you have an email address, or call 0161 872 7795 or email emma@stjohnscentre.org.
