St John’s Sunshine are the local co-op which owns the solar panels on our church roof. As well as providing free electricity to the Centre, they receive money from the government’s Feed-In Tariff. They use some of this to give small grants to local groups every so often, and bring a little bit of sunshine to Old Trafford!
This is their fifth round of grants, and grants of up to £250 are available to people who live and/or work in Old Trafford. Residents who’ve clubbed together (two or more people), voluntary groups, community organisations, local charities, schools, or others who want to help people, communities and/or the environment in Old Trafford can all apply.
The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday, January 14th 2022, and successful groups will be notified the following week.
