This course, provided by our learning partners the WEA, is for ESOL learners assessed at Entry 2, ready to progress to Entry 3, who wish to work in the care industry. Students will improve their communication and employability skills to prepare them for a career in care.

The deadline for applications for this post has now been extended until 12 noon on Friday September 24th. St John’s Centre has been serving the Old Trafford Community for 40 years, working with volunteers at all levels. An opportunity has come up for us to recruit a part-time Volunteer Coordinator for one year.

Cabaret for Freedom at St John’s Church

As part of the Manchester Literature Festival, St John’s Church presents its annual Cabaret for Freedom, hosted by Shirley May and featuring Tolu Agbelusi, Yomi Sode & Young Identity. Join them for an evening of poetry and music reflecting on the theme of such a time as this. Saturday 16th October at 7pm – tickets £10/6. Even though the Centre was closed to the public for much of lockdown, we were still very busy!
