This programme, which will be delivered online, consists of three separate awards. Together they provide a package of support for learners who wish to work as an interpreter in the community.
You will need to be able to speak, read and write English at Level 1 (B2) standard to be able to complete the programme.
Level 2 Award Preparation to Work in Community Interpreting
Suitable for students who wish to gain knowledge and skills of community interpreting, including the role of codes of practice and learn about the settings where interpreters may be required to work.
Level 1 Mental Health Awareness
Level 1 Stress Awareness
These units support learners to gain a wider knowledge of the mental health issues that can impact on people’s lives and explore the common misconceptions of mental health difficulties and how stress affects our lives.
Courses are FREE if you are in receipt of certain benefits.
Initial Assessment: online and by phone, to be arranged
Course Dates:
Daytime: Mondays and Wednesdays at 9.30am, starting 11th January 2021
Evening: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm, starting 12th January 2021
