In January 2026, Trafford College will be offering these creative courses at St John’s Centre:
Drawing from Life Classes
Wednesdays 1-3pm from 21st January – 25th March 2026
The cost of the course is £81, or free to learners on income dependent benefits or low wages. To register, please come to St John’s Centre on Tuesday, 13th January 2026 at 10am with proof of your ID, your address, and your benefits/income.
This nine-week course will take you through basic elements of drawing from the clothed figure and from life, working with practical elements such as composition, tone, form, mark-making and texture.
Some sessions will require students to model for the rest of the class in a seated position and will be done in rotation.
Homework will be set between each session. Students will need a sketchbook and drawing materials including range of soft pencils, chalk pastels, charcoal, eraser, and a range of different types of drawing papers.
